Someone I know has this in her email signature, and I like the sentiment, so I'm sharing it with you :)

A New Leash on Life; NFL player dedicates himself to helping animals

This is just such a wonderful story I had to share it. It's so nice to see a professional athlete doing something so good and so selfless and not seeking any acknowledgment for it.

Someone I know, after reading this, commented that it would be wonderful if each NFL team had a player or a group of players who would get together and do something similar in their towns ... what a positive impact that would have in the lives of animals and their communities, not to mention great PR for the football teams, who could definitely use it. Hint, hint :)
